Fusible Interfacing Medium Weight Interlining Black 1 Sheet
£2.55
One sheet of medium weight iron-on interfacing (interlining). Approximate sheet size 69cm x 92cm. Colour: Black. Interfacing is a third layer of fabric applied between two other layers to provide shape, stability and structure to garments, selvedges and handmade fabric/knitted bags, and to enhance durability. It is used in buttonhole areas to keep them from stretching and distorting, in collars and cuffs to add crispness, and in handmade bags/facings to give stability. In tailoring, it allows the garment to retain the shape that is built in during the construction process. Interfacings can be either fusible (iron-on) or sewn-in (sew in). This fusible interfacing is ironed straight onto fabric, to give it a stiffer finish. You should always test a sample piece of your chosen fabric with the interfacing, before you apply interlining to your main fabric, to ensure it is suitable for your project. Instructions not supplied with this product, but we have provided detailed information and guidance for using fabric interfacings in our Hints & Tips page. More weights available, plus polyester boning, crin, Petersham tape, patterned narrow fabrics, trimmings, webbing tape, sewing supplies and dressmakers shears
