We are Knit Sew & Craft - a family owned business based in Kent. Established in 2004, we are one of the most versatile crafts, trimmings, sewing and haberdashery shops trading online. Where Are You Located?
We work and live in Kent. The county of Kent has a rich and varied history, and is renowed for being the garden of England. Kent is a beautiful county to visit, live and work. If you have not yet visited our county, it has so much to offer. Kent is famous for its abundance of orchards, vineyards, lavender fields, fruit and vegetable farms, and hop gardens - which is why it is known as the Garden of England. The strawberries served up each Summer at Wimbledon are grown here in Kent. There's plenty of open countryside, wineries, oast houses (old kilns used for drying hops to make beer), picturesque coastlines seaside resorts and stunning beaches, historic houses, steam train railways and castles. Well known places of interest include Hever Castle (childhood home of Anne Boleyn), Batemans (home of the author Rudyard Kipling), Ightham Mote, Downe House (home and workplace of Charles Darwin - author of "On The Origin Of Species", Chartwell (family home of Sir Winston Churchill), Knole House (birthplace of novelist and poet Vita Sackville West), Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle (secret underground wartime tunnels) and Leeds Castle (also known as The Castle Of Queens/The Queen Of Castles) near Maidstone and the iconic white cliffs of Dover. Much of the Battle of Britain during World War II was fought in the skies over Kent and the area also became known as Doodle Bug Alley in wartime, due to the high number of V1 flying bombs that fell over parts of Kent.
