Apron Bunting Cotton Twill Tape - knitsewcraft.co.uk online store

About our tapes: Our versatile woven herringbone webbing tape and standard cotton twill tape (also called India tape) is used for garment repairs, flag bunting strings/pennants, chef's apron strings, sturdy ties on closing garments (hospital gowns) and privacy curtains, pinafore ties, workwear apparel, horse turnout rugs (herringbone tape), kitchen apparel, garden seat pads/chair cushion ties, casings, quilt cover ties, crafts, seam binding, dressmaking, table runners, table mats, napkins, and lightweight shopping bag handles. We stock a range of different widths and our twill tape is sold by the reel, or in cut to order lengths. The smallest size, 6mm, is often used to make glove/mitten ties. Some of our stock photographs feature a wooden bobbin - this is for display purposes only and is not supplied with any of our tapes/products. Colour Matching: Please note that we cannot guarantee a perfect match for additional purchases of a particular product previously purchased. This is because we source textiles, ribbons, blanket binding, bias binding, webbing tapes, narrow fabrics, trimming braid etc., from several different manufacturers/suppliers. It is common for dyelot numbers and colour shading to vary between the many hundreds of metres of fabric reels purchased, due to manufacturing changes, when our stock is replenished and new consignments arrive. This is particularly relevant to all cut to order items and is something that is beyond our control and we cannot guarantee that additional purchases of the same product will be a perfect colour match for previous orders due to this and the volume of sales processed through our website

We also stock an extensive range of woven herringbone webbing tape in a rainbow of wonderful colours.... What is the difference between standard cotton tape and woven herringbone webbing? Woven herringbone tape, available in supersoft acrylic or cotton material, is a thicker gauge fabric tape than our standard cotton twill tape (India Tape), has the visible herringbone pattern and, in addition to workwear, apron ties, it is used to create seam binding around blankets, horse turnout rugs/blankets, fabric loops on dressmaking projects, boning channels on garments and to strengthen corset waistlines and seams. Herringbone webbing is similar to densely woven Prussian tape but is not an upholstery tape.  Please bear in mind that it is always very difficult to reproduce shade colours exactly on screens and we have tried to make the image colour as near as possible to actual colour of the tape. However we cannot guarantee this will be an exact colour match. The appearance of the listing photo sample will vary depending on the screen setting/resolution of your computer/mobile phone.

Please note that all cut to order tape, braid, ribbon, blanket binding and trimmings are not returnable and are excluded from our returns policy. Some of our stock photographs feature a wooden bobbin - this is for display purposes only and is not supplied with any of our tapes, braid, ribbon or other narrow fabrics. To view our range of half metre lengths of tapes, trimmings, braid and webbings, please click here. We also stock professional cake decorating and baking equipment, at affordable prices. To view our range of Little Venice Cake Company products, please click here

Because our narrow fabrics are obtained from a wide range of suppliers, the actual size, shape and shade of each different reel may vary, due to different manufacturing methods and this is beyond our control. Please bear in mind that meterages are guides and not precise units. Slight creasing on the reel may occur, due to suppliers storage time and the distance the cotton has travelled before it reaches us. Any creasing should disappear when gently pressed out with your iron set on a medium temperature. If you are purchasing more than one, cut to order length of tape, we will supply a continuous length of fabric whenever possible. Reels of tape may be pinned to the reel, or joined in places by the manufacturer due to the large quantity of tape on the reel
